I heard Kalaallisut for the first time in 1995 and I thought: it’s beautiful. 

What was your motivation to learn Kalaallisut?

I was going to live here so it’s natural to learn the language.

What was the hardest in learning Kalaallisut?

Suligama suleqatikka kalaallisut oqaluqatigirusuppunga, ajorulaartumik suliqatikka piffisaqanngillat aporfiuppoq. Meeqqat, naartusut, utoqqat, oqaluqatigirussuppunga, uku piffisaqarput, kisiaani ajorulaartumik iluamik kalaallisumik oqalulasinanngiata.

What was beneficial learning Kalaallisut?

Elders and children.

What is the most important thing in learning Kalaallisut language?

Help each other and to live together in a harmony.
